BetMGM and Charlotte Motor Speedway have reached an agreement regarding a new market access agreement. This agreement will enable the operator to introduce its online sports betting platform to North Carolina, provided that regulatory sanction is obtained. 

It is anticipated that tax revenues generated from sports betting will be used to support numerous publicly funded institutions in North Carolina, as well as to establish a significant event fund that is designed to stimulate economic growth, job creation, and tourism. 

BetMGM will be able to introduce its online sports betting platform once legalised sports wagering is implemented in the Tar Heel State, which is anticipated to occur in the first quarter of 2024. 

Ripley Rand, the Chair of the North Carolina State Lottery Commission, announced last month that mobile sports wagering will not be legal and operational in the state prior to the 2024 Super Bowl.

Additionally, DraftKings and NASCAR reached an agreement on a written designation agreement today. This agreement will grant DraftKings the ability to operate in the state of North Carolina in the United States, as well as designate DraftKings as the exclusive daily fantasy sports partner of NASCAR in the United States and Canada.
